
The DAAT aims is to help young people resist drug and alcohol misuse and to achieve their full potential in society. A wide range of programmes exist across Cambridgeshire supporting the education, prevention and treatment needs of young people in relation to substance misuse.
All Cambridgeshire DAAT member agencies share a common purpose and are working towards an improved, integrated approach to the development of education, prevention and treatment services for young people.
The DAAT oversee the programmes supporting the prevention and treatment needs of young people in relation to substance misuse and works in partnership with various other agencies working with young people.
New Treatment Agency
From 1st April 2010 the drug and alcohol services for young people and families, commissioned by Cambridgeshire DAAT, has been changed. The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) has been awarded the contract to provide these services.
The new service is called CASUS (Cambridgeshire Child and Adolescent Substance Use Service). It is part of the CPFT, and the NHS, and is working with young people and their families who have drug and alcohol concerns, issues or problems and live in Cambridgeshire.
