“SUPPORTING YOU TO SUPPORT YOUNG PEOPLE”

The Local Substance Misuse Forum is for front line workers who have regular contact with Young People and feel they would like more support around drug and alcohol issues.

The purpose of the monthly forums is to “de-mystify” substance misuse and support you in your practice. It’s aimed at front line workers who have regular contact with young people who feel they would like more support around drugs and alcohol issues. Substance misuse may not be a part of your role, but will be an issue that you come across in the course of your work. It will also give you an opportunity to network and share information with other practitioners.

Each Forum will consist of:

• An education hour on specified topics e.g. cannabis
• An hour good practice discussion on substance misuse and young people.

The Forum is a resource you can ‘dip in and out’ of depending on your need.
