Community Support Worker

Lucas Oliver is the DAAT Community Support Worker for the Cambridge City, South Cambridgeshire and East Cambridgeshire areas.

The main aim of his role is to work with local people and local community groups to identify where drug misuse is affecting people's lives and then support them in finding solutions to the problems they face.

Lucas can help with practical support, advice and funding for community projects. He will be running several training courses for members of the public over the forthcoming year.

Have you ever thought that people where you live could benefit from drug awareness training?

It provides useful information about the drugs themselves, teaches responsible adults about the way they can influence young people's behaviour by giving informed messages to those young people who may be faced with the temptation of drug or alcohol misuse. It can help you to spot the early warning signs of drug use and if you are worried about someone, can provide vital routes into discussing drug issues with them and helping them to access the help they need.

For more details about his work and how he can help you, please contact Lucas by email or telephone. He is based at the DAAT Office.
