The Home Office Communities Against Drugs Programme is designed to strengthen the ability of communities
to resist drug related problems and to develop multi agency approaches to reducing availability of drug.
The programme is part of the Government's £300m Communities Against Drugs initiative announced by the
Chancellor of the Exchequer in 2001, and covers both capital and revenue expenditure.
To ensure local priorities are tackled, the five Cambridgeshire Community Safety Partnerships (CDRPs) decide
how the extra funds will be spent. The DAAT works closely with the CDRPs.
